The town's prosperity was based on industries such as brickmaking, brewing and iron-smelting. A lot of these have ceased to operate however, the town still has an active manufacturing sector. The Horsham branch is owned by the pharmaceutical company Novartis. It was once part of Ciba-Geigy. The RSPCA as well as the British television station ITV both have their headquarters in Horsham.

The Bishop of Horsham is a resident of the Borough of Horsham and is responsible for most of West Sussex, as well as a few parishes in East Sussex and Kent.

Bromley is an outer borough of London located in the southeastern part of the metropolis. Bromley is home to numerous green spaces and parks and is served by a variety of railway stations.
